Severstal to invest 1.1 bln rbl in upgrade of Cherepovets plant

MOSCOW, Feb 16 (PRIME) -- Russian steel producer Severstal will invest 1.1 billion rubles in the upgrade of its Cherepovets Steel Mill in accordance with the company’s ESG strategy, it said in a statement on Wednesday.

“In 2021, 46 cars and special-purpose vehicles of a high ecological class were bought to reequip the Cherepovets Steel Mill,” the statement said.

“In 2022, 52 vehicles will be acquired additionally. The combined investment will amount to over 1.1 billion rubles.”
